About the event

Colonial Chocolate Shoppe
Michael Lester, a living historian & Chocolatier will be at the Museum to share his knowledge on Colonial Era Chocolate making . You will be able to try a Chocolate sample AND a Hot Chocolate drink* just as it would have tasted during General George Washington’s lifetime!

Stop in before the parade & learn how Chocolate was used as a currency in the Military; as a medicine and its role in replacing “British Tea” during the Revolutionary War.

This event will appeal to both children and adults. Sat Dec 6th, 1-8pm. Come for the parade and be transported to Colonial America.

Also sponsored by the Almont Museum at Maria’s Restaurant , adjacent to the Museum , will be a Santa Letter Writing Station and Ornament giveaway for Children.

*Hot Chocolate Drink will be served at Maria’s and the Chocolate samples will be available at the Museum.
The Special Santa Mailbox will be inside the Museum.
