Meet The Scarlet Goodbye:
The Scarlet Goodbye is the creative lovechild of long-time Minnesota musicians Daniel Murphy and Jeff Arundel.
A chance meeting between Dan Murphy, pivotal in the formation and writing of both Soul Asylum and Golden Smog, and mellow singer-songwriter-producer Jeff Arundel, led to an attic studio in St. Paul, Minnesota, where the lads hunkered down and created the LP “Hopes Eternal”, a unique and original blend of both artists—part Rolling Stones, part Townes Van Zandt. Hopes Eternal went on to be one the best-reviewed records of 2023, released on The Label Group/ Universal, and supported by some great live shows across the Midwest.
Ready to escalate the collaboration, TSG has been back in the attic and is readying “El Camino Adios”, at once both organic and epic, for release with The Label Group, distributed by Virgin on March 14, 2025.
The third single from the record is “Raylene”, and the narrator is reflecting on Raylene while at her funeral–and then the angels sing her words of wisdom back to him on the choruses. Beautifully crafted, and featuring the See Change Treble Choir.
The songs on “El Camino Adios” revolve around a mythical town, and the reeling emotions that resonate whether you’re in the Baja or the heart of New York City, entrusted of knowing – that in this lifetime change will be life’s only constant, especially if you’ve been around awhile.
Meet Molly Maher:
Molly Maher's music resides on the border Americana roots and big city grooves moving beautifully between them, blending simmering cools with twangy lament-filled spirit, guitar driven country-folk-jam with a blues swagger.
Molly has explored the intersections of American music and global rhythms with curiosity of and returned to sing about it with an authentic and sage voice. Her live performances are an unforgettable experience. An incomparable singer and songwriter with compelling depth and soul and cutting lyrics draws from the deep roots of all music. Writing songs that ring true her singing is a fine balance of deep and soulful, somewhere between Lucinda Williams and Bonnie Raitt.
