Alma Alive is back in 2025 and bigger than ever! The Alma Action Association Planning Team has worked closely with several community partners to bring a full day of events to downtown Alma. Below is a list of some of the events currently planned for the day (subject to change):
Red Hacker 3-on-3 Youth Basketball Tournament hosted by Central Michigan Youth for Christ. The tournament will be held on Prospect Street South of Superior Street and begin at 9:00am. Details and registration can be found at

Pop-Up Artisan Market hosted by Gratiot Markets. The Market will run from 9:00am - 5:00pm on State Street North of Superior. A full vendor list will be available closer to the event.
Children/Family Events from 2:00pm - 8:00pm. Schedule events include a visit from the Owosso Diesel Train, Bounce Houses, Inflatable Obstacle Courses, Games, Nessie Rides hosted by the Alma Highland Festival and Games, Face Painting/Temporary Tattoos/Henna hosted by Highland Point, Four Square Drop In Games hosted by City of Alma Parks and Recreation, Craft Tables hosted by City of Alma Parks and Recreation, and Live Music from a variety of performers. List of performers and time slots will be available closer to the event.
Michigan Cornhole Tournament hosted by Alma Action Association and presented by City of Alma Parks and Recreation. Check in starts at 3:00pm and bags fly at 4:00pm. The tournament has a competitive and social division with a guaranteed minimum $2,000 in payouts. $50 a team for social and $60 a team for competitive. Beverage Tent will be available with beers, seltzers, and non-alcoholic beverages to be enjoyed within the social district from 2:00pm to 10:00pm. The Beverage Tent will be ran by the Gratiot Young Professionals Network and proceeds will go back into the Alma Alive budget.
The Wright House Restoration Project Fundraising Team will have a live raffle drawing at 5:00pm. Raffle tickets are available up to the time of the drawing and will be available for purchase the day of at the event.
And finally, we cap off the night with the ever popular Dueling Pianos in the Streets presented by Commercial Bank from 8:00pm to 10:00pm. The pianos will be set up at the intersection of Woodworth and Superior with seating available, but we also encourage people to bring their own chairs if they would like.
In addition to all of the fun activities planned, several businesses will be holding special hours, sales, and providing other entertainment to bring the downtown alive! We will be sharing details of participating businesses as the event gets closer.
