Alice Springs Homemakers Swap – Now Private Event
Due to council regulations, this event is now a private gathering. Please invite your friends if they’d like to take part in the Homemakers Swap.
📍 Location: Telegraph Station picnic area (near the Café)
⏰ Kick-off: 9:30am
We’re all about bringing community back to the heart of local trade.
The Alice Springs Homemakers Swap is a space to decentralise small-scale food, crafts, and home creations. From candles and soaps to sourdough, scrunchies, baked goods, preserves, and anything else made with love.
How it works:
○ Bring 5 of the same handmade items (e.g. 5 bars of soap, 5 loaves of sourdough, 5 jars of jam or anything else similar).
○ On the day, swap with fellow makers and take home 5 beautiful, locally made treasures.
○ No cash. No cards. Just genuine exchange and connection.
It’s simple, community-driven, and a wonderful way to share skills, reduce waste, and celebrate the creativity of Alice Springs.
🗓️ First swap meet-up: 21st of September
If you’d like to be involved or have questions about how it works, send us a message.
⚠️ Please note: This is no longer a public event. Only invited participants bringing goods to trade can join in the swap. Café facilities will still be available on-site if you’d like to purchase food or drinks separately.
