For this edition, we welcome a moment we’ve all been waiting for: Chee, the groundbreaking artist from South Africa, making his debut at JiangHu after an extended break. His return is not just a set, it’s a communion of sound and spirit.
Supporting him are BOSTN, Dehm, and Jestic, with a special surprise guest that you’ll only experience if you’re there.

This is a "pay what you can" event. Tickets start at just $1 and all ticket tiers are available. If money’s tight, you’re still welcome. If you’re able to pay more, know that you’re directly helping fuel someone’s journey.

Lets talk about CHEE...
Hailing from South Africa, Chee has carved out a space as one of the most forward-thinking producers in bass and experimental music. Emerging onto the international stage in 2016 with his Schrodinger EP, Chee quickly became known for his uncompromising sound design and fearless approach to genre. His early work caught the attention of electronic pioneers like Noisia, Culprate, Amon Tobin, Mat Zo, and G Jones, establishing him as a fresh voice pushing at the very edges of sonic possibility.
Chee’s breakthrough came with the release of his first full-length album, Fear Monger (2017, Saturate Records), a bold 12-track statement that cemented his reputation as an innovator. Subsequent releases on influential imprints like Deadbeats, Saturate, Renraku, and Upscale showcased his ability to weave raw bass energy with intricate textures, drawing praise from peers and outlets alike. In 2020, Billboard Dance spotlighted him as an emerging artist, describing his music as “unique: eerie and slow-burning, yet riveting and darkly beautiful.”
Influenced by both visceral art and the boundary-pushing work of creators like Moody Good, Skrillex, Ivy Lab, and Tsuruda, Chee’s sonic world blurs lines between trap, drum & bass, halftime, and experimental bass, refusing to be boxed into a single genre. His collaborations—such as the mind-bending Fight Club with Mr. Carmack—showcase a relentless curiosity and drive to expand what bass music can be.
Now, after taking time away from the spotlight, Chee returns with renewed energy, continuing to evolve into one of the most compelling voices in modern electronic music. Supported by heavyweights including Moody Good, DJ Craze, Bleep Bloop, edIT (The Glitch Mob), Bare Noize and more, Chee is poised to shape the future of the underground with every release and performance.
