Start or continue your 2025 Mammoth Hike Challenge on the Algoma Segment of the Ice Age Trail!
Meet at the Ahnapee State Trail Algoma Trailhead on the corner of 6th and Perry Streets. The hike will be led by Bruce Berres, Ice Age Trail Alliance Lakeshore Chapter representative.
In case of inclement weather, the official event will be canceled and not rescheduled. Watch here for updates.
Algoma's own Myles the Mammoth will join in as well. Pick up a BINGO card at the start, find things along the trail, and enter to win a prize!

We will head east, then north, and there are several options to choose from:
- to the Trailhead on County M* 1.5 miles
- to the Trailhead on County M & back 3 miles
- to Blahnik Park* 3 miles
- to Blahnik Park & back 6 miles
- continue north on the Forestville Segment (this is on your own and not part of the official event)
- continue on the section of the Algoma section through the City of Algoma (to the Algoma Visitor Center)

This segment is the halfway point between the portion that goes through downtown Algoma and Crescent Beach and the nature section connecting to the Forestville Segment.
This segment is very flat, great for beginners, and is stroller and wagon-friendly.
