***TICKETS COMING SOON!***
Create a part of our Whale Shark Cape. The cape will be showcased at our forthcoming celebration event, alongside a community created dress and ocean inspired denim jackets.
The Ripple Effect project was inspired by Ocean with David Attenborough (2025). We are a community led textile art project and are using recycled materials, we are creating a collaborative dress to raise environmental awareness, creativity and connection.
Take a look through our Facebook & Instagram pages to find out more.
Both adults and children will require a ticket. All children must be supervised by an adult- we suggest one adult with a maximum of 2 children.
During the 1 hour session you will decorate fabric and have a go at circular weaving in order to create spots and waves which will be attached to the cape.
Upon completing your contributions to the cape you will receive a voucher for each person to swap for a drink in the cafe (max value £3) PLUS a weaving pack to take away and a certificate and sticker.
We're doing two one hour sessions 10.30 to 11.30am and 12.30pm to 1.30pm.
The cafe will be open as normal from 9am to 4pm but we're asking that you don't bring food drink into the workshop space to avoid accidents. You will, of course, be able to use your drinks voucher in the cafe after the workshop ends or at any time until Saturday 21st February.
Tickets heavily subsidised thanks to Derbyshire Makes
