Council and the Rotary Club of Alexandra are hosting the Walk for Respect to bring our community together, take a stand against domestic and family violence, and promote safety, equality and respect for all. Every step we take is for those impacted, and for the future we are working to build.
The event begins with a talk from Vincent Care, followed by a 1.5 km community walk along the UT Creek path. Afterwards, we’ll gather at Rotary Park for a relaxed community get-together with support service stalls, barbeque lunch, light refreshments and a welcoming, positive atmosphere.
Wear purple and bring your friends and family. Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead.
If your community group or business would like to take part by hosting a stall, sharing resources, small tokens of care, or simply connecting with participants, contact Ian Smith from the Rotary Club of Alexandra on 0419 581 617.
