If you think its a good thing that the Central Otago District Council had 48% rates rises over their current term - amongst the worst in the whole of New Zealand - and if you think that by electing the same people who approved these rates rises, then you should expect a different result - then maybe its time to think again. There are alternatives.
Some people who are standing to represent you have different ideas and want change from what we have had in the last few years.
If you are a young person struggling to make ends meet
If your wages or earnings are not meeting these astronomical rates increases
If you agree with Statistics New Zealand that Council rates increases are the single biggest influence over household costs, then come along on Saturday to hear from those who want to govern Central Otago differently.
Things won't change unless you vote for change!
If you continue to do what you’ve always done you’ll continue to get what you’ve always got!!!!!
