As some of you may have heard, we’re planning to host the Tunnel to Towers 9/11 memorial exhibit in Aledo in October. It’ll be an excellent opportunity for the younger generation to get a glimpse into something we’ll never forget. They’re actually bussing area students in to view it the first few days it’s here.
I am in charge of hosting a golf event to help fund, raise awareness and also benefit said event. We’re getting details ironed out, but I’d love to start getting people signed up and conversations started.
Some questions to ask:
What kind of tournament? One club? Best ball? Etc.
What time?
How much interest is there from the community?
Is anyone interested in cooking some lunch?
We’ll be looking for hole sponsors and team sponsors.
I think the price will be $50 per person at this time. There’s an extra $20 for non-members, but we may just eat that in the cost of the buy in.
I plan to have pin prizes, and such as well, but everything will be in the form of a trophy.
If this is successful, we’ll see about making it an annual event!
