To the World, Joy!

What has become a beloved tradition returns to AUMC on Sunday, December 7th. Our handbell and chancel choirs will present the Christmas story through music, narration and scripture.
The choir will present 4 pieces from Heather Sorenson's contemporary cantata "Little Lion, Little Lamb". Through music, they will take you from the anticipated waiting to the joyous celebration of the birth of our lion of Judah. Several soloists will be featured throughout and we will end with a full congregation singing of several of our favorite Christmas songs!
Our handbell choir has prepared a set of 3 pieces meant to take you through all the emotions that the Chrismtas season brings. From exuberant joy to quiet wonder interspersed with readings from scripture, the ringing of bells is always a treat for young and old. we are excited to debut a new peice arranged by Joel Raney. "To the World, Joy!" has quickly become our favorite to ring this season. Acompanied on the grand piano. this piece will reverberate throughout the sanctuary with the joy of Christmas. You will not want to miss it!

As is also tradition, our UM men will be serving breakfast that morning for a free will donation which will go to the many mission projects they do throughout the year.
