Certified Lay Minister Course: Basic Bible

Join us for this Certified Lay Minister course on June 7, 9-4:30pm EST. This is a foundational course focused on biblical narrative, formation of the canon, inductive Bible study and the nuances of literary genre. This particular offering examine the Book of Ruth through the inductive method. Students will participate in the writing of an exegetical paper as we progress through the class, walking away with a study they can use in their local church.

CLM Course Credits: The Certified Lay Minister status is a lay status given to the individuals that feel the calling to serve in the local church and beyond though not in a clergy status. The Basic Bible Study will be considered a “Foundational” course for the
Certified Lay Minister certification.

Required Texts: Students are to bring their Bible. Read the Book of Ruth five times in the week prior to class.

Registration: $30.00 which includes the cost of lunch. If special dietary needs, please bring food that is suitable. You can complete registration online. Walk-ins are also welcome!
