Run the Runway & Mutt Strut 5k (First Annual)!!

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 6th, 2025!!

Our very first 5k Fun Run that will be happening ON the Double Eagle II runway, Saturday, September 6th, 2025!

It is both a fundraiser for CABQ Animal Welfare and the (EAA) Experimental Aviation Association’s Scholarship Fund and a fun run to help bring awareness to our city’s general aviation airport on the westside.

Participants can run or walk the runway course (it will be shut down to aircraft during this time) and there will even be a “Mutt Strut” after the first race for humans to walk alongside their pooches! CABQ Animal Welfare will also be there letting people “borrow” pups to walk the course with them. And, there will even be a tag machine on-site giving out free pet tags!

We would love it if you could join us! Registration will start at 10am that morning and the race begins at 11am.
