Her performances are deeply personal, reflecting the struggles she’s overcome and the stories she’s lived. In 2021, her debut album Laid to Rest earned two finalist nominations at the New Mexico Music Awards—an impressive recognition for a solo artist competing against full bands. Actively gigging and touring across the Southwest, Chessa continues to share her belief that music is medicine, creating a space for audiences to feel seen, heard, and connected.
