Cardinal Branch of Cornerstone Bank: Deposit Day!

Boone Central School partnered with the Nebraska Council on Economic Education and Cornerstone Bank to offer an In-School Savings Bank (ISSB) for students in grades K-6th! To encourage savings, Cornerstone Bank will also match up to $5 of each student’s first deposit.

The goal of the In-School Savings Bank is to offer Boone Central students more opportunities to learn about savings, how financial institutions operate and how to become better savers themselves. This program is not about how much your child deposits, but how often. We want to encourage students to deposit a little each week to create good habits that will help them continue to save as they get older.

A signed permission slip https://form.jotform.com/252385523496061 is required to enroll a student in the program. After enrollment, students may participate in weekly deposit sessions every Wednesday at 8:30 AM at Boone Central High School, held at the concession stand in the commons area. Fifth and sixth grade students will serve as tellers, supported by Cornerstone Bank and school staff to ensure accuracy.
