NEW for FALL 2025!
This workshop is new for fall but I have a feeling it's going to be a very popular one for anytime of the year!
Working with resin is amazing and the possibilities are endless - really!
Each participant is given a choice of black/white/beige/sage green table tray to do their resin art on (colours choices are limited and is first registered/first selection). The dimensions are: 17.5" round/wide (tray) and the base is 21" tall.
You can use the removable tray for serving independently and the tray’s edges make it easy to carry and reduces the risk of glasses or bowls sliding off. The design makes it easy to put the tray back after use since you place it directly on the table frame without having to fit it into any holes. The durable, powder-coated steel surface is easy to clean and has a smooth satin finish with a subtle and attractive reflection. The tray is well-balanced and the proportions of the tray, legs and lower cross create a nice contrast between the thickness of the legs and the tray. You can easily lift and move the entire table, for example from the sofa to the reading chair as it's not heavy or awkward but is made from robust materials provide long-lasting quality and help with stability.
Your Creative Coach (BerylAnne) will provide you with demonstrations and direction on how to prep, mix resin to achieve the colour(s) you want to use; manipulate & move resin as well as how to control it to give you a desired result; create cells, lacing and stunning colour variations with access to the large selection of supplies on hand. You will be using a small torch and heat gun to assist is popping the gas bubbles in the resin and to move the resin around on your backboard if you want a blended/marbled look to your resin. As with all my workshops, you will first be given an opportunity to do a practice piece in order to to experiment with your colour choices and techniques that you will learn. This helps you get a bit more comfortable with how the resin flows and allows time to tweek your colour choices before you start your final piece.
We will be using a combination of 4 techniques in resin to attain some amazing results that I am absolutely certain you will be happy with.
IMPORTANT: Resin requires a minimum of 12 hours to cure so you won't be able to take your project home with you the same day. This is a teaching workshop where previous experience is not required but helpful. Minimum age to register/attend is18 . Dress accordingly as resin is impossible to remove once on your clothes (aprons and gloves are provided).Refreshments such as pop, water, coffee & tea and some pre-packaged chips & chocolate bars are included but feel free to bring your own if you want. The Studio is in the lower level so all participants will be required to go up and down one flight of stairs independently (there is a sturdy banister to assist).
All supplies are included in the cost of the workshop.PLEASE NOTE: If you are unable to purchase your registration here through EB, please contact BerylAnne, bWVtb3JpZXNhcmVtYWRlIHwgZ21haWwgISBjb20= directly. There are cancellations and spots become available that aren't indicated there.
