Aiea Loop Trail

RANK: Moderately challenging (can you climb 4-5 flights of stairs?).
New ranks out of 10, 10 being hardest
Trail quality 6 /10 Rocky, narrow, steep.

Dogs: Welcome, must stay on leash.
DESCRIPTION:
A short drive from Honolulu, this loop is great for the reasonably fit. The trail offers incredible views of Halawa Valley and the southern coastline of Oahu. The hike takes up to 3.5 hours depending on your fitness level. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. Beach options afterwards.

You can also meet at the zoo parking lot in Waikiki 9am, but you MUST list yourself on the carpool list so we can secure drivers.

WHAT TO BRING: Please bring comfortable walking shoes and at least 3 liters of water, since it is 4.9 miles in the sun. You (or a bear next to you) might be hungry, so bring a lunch or significant snacks, sun protection/hat, a towel, swim trunks if you want to swim after.
Remember that you want to be present, enjoy the hikes and meet other people, so ideally be sober and no recreational drugs in your system.
