Gallery Artist Series - Ancient Light Photographing: Nebulae & Galaxies

Award-winning astrophotographer Marsha Wilcox will talk with us about photographing things that are unseen with the naked eye. They are unimaginably old, unfathomably distant, and incomprehensibly vast. Her presentation will feature images of vibrant nebulae and distant galaxies, capturing the breathtaking beauty of the universe. Most of the images were made right here in Acton. Long exposure photography is the only way we can experience these celestial scenes. Marsha will discuss some of the aspects of capturing this “Ancient Light.”

There is art in the science, and science in the art.

Marsha Wilcox's work will be displayed in the Acton Memorial Library Meeting Room from September to October.
