About the presenter:
Colleen Quinn is a Cornell Master Beekeeper and a Cornell Master Beekeeper Course Facilitator, with hands-on experience managing 12 honeybee colonies right here in Acra, NY. She serves as Librarian and Community Engagement Chair for the Catskill Mountain Beekeepers Club, where she supports education, outreach, and knowledge sharing among beekeepers across the region. She also works at Hudson Valley Bee Supply, connecting directly with beekeepers to support practical, sustainable hive management. In addition to her local work, she volunteers with Bees for Development, a global nonprofit based in Wales, UK, that uses beekeeping to support disadvantaged communities worldwide. Her beekeeping work is grounded in education, service, and a deep respect for bees as both ecological and cultural partners.
Also check out other Workshops in Acra.
