Maa shaa Allah
The first revelation of the Qur’an was sent down:
📅 On the Night of Laylat al-Qadr (The Night of Power),
📆 During the month of Ramadan,
📍 In the Cave of Ḥirā’ (جبل حراء), near Makkah,
🕊️ To Prophet Muhammad ﷺ when he was 40 years old.
📖 First Verses Revealed:
The first verses revealed were from Surah Al-‘Alaq (Chapter 96: 1–5):
Read in the Name of your Lord Who created.
He created man from a clot of blood.
Read, and your Lord is the Most Generous—
Who taught by the pen—
Taught man what he did not know.” (Qur’an 96:1–5)
🕌 This event marks the beginning of the Qur’anic revelation and the mission of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as the final Messenger of Allah.
🕋 Laylat al-Qadr is now honored every year in the last 10 nights of Ramadan — most commonly believed to be on the 27th night.
