**CONCISE ANSWER:** The article examines Jesus’ concerns in prayer and what was important to him.
**3. What did Jesus say about Jehovah’s name, and what did he mean? (John 17:6, 26)**
**DIRECT ANSWER:** Jesus said he made Jehovah’s name known to his disciples, not by revealing the name itself, which they already knew, but by showing them what the name stood for. He helped them understand Jehovah’s personality, purpose, and actions. Jesus revealed the person behind the name better than anyone else ever could.
**CONCISE ANSWER:** Jesus revealed Jehovah’s character, not just His name.
**4-5. (a) How might we illustrate what it means to come to know a person’s name?**
**DIRECT ANSWER:** Knowing someone’s name can grow in meaning based on experience. For example, a man named David may be just a familiar elder, but if he saves your life as a surgeon, his name takes on deeper meaning. That experience changes how you view him.
**CONCISE ANSWER:** A person’s name gains meaning when we experience who they truly are.
**4-5. (b) In what way did Jesus’ disciples come to know Jehovah’s name?**

**CONCISE ANSWER:** They came to know Jehovah by watching Jesus reflect His qualities.
**6. In what sense did Jehovah give Jesus His name? (John 17:11, 12)**
**DIRECT ANSWER:** Jesus didn’t receive Jehovah’s name as his own, but he was sent in Jehovah’s name and acted in His behalf. The name Jesus itself means “Jehovah Is Salvation,” which links him closely to Jehovah. Jesus carried Jehovah’s name as His representative and messenger.
**CONCISE ANSWER:** Jehovah gave Jesus His name by making him His representative.
**7. Illustrate how Jesus could speak in Jehovah’s name.**

**8. How was Jehovah’s name “in” Jesus prior to his coming to earth? (Exodus 23:20, 21)**

**CONCISE ANSWER:** Jesus’ loyalty showed Satan was lying about Jehovah.
**14. How did Jehovah reward Jesus’ faithfulness?**
