K5 STEM Academy Fall 2025

Every Tuesday evening beginning October 21-November 18, 6:00 PM-7:30PM (Kindergarten will dismiss at 7:15PM)

Prerequisites: Students must:

1. be “potty trained”;

2. be able to work independently as well as in a group setting.

PLEASE NOTE: If you put YOUR name in the CHILD’s Name field, your child’s name tag and certificate will have your name on it.

The K5 STEM Academy was created to assist Region 7 become in-line with HB 831 which “Requires the Standards of Learning established by the Board of Education and the program of instruction for grades kindergarten through 12 developed and implemented by each local school board to include computer science and computational thinking, including computer coding.”

By registering for this event, I grant permission to the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center, its officers, employees, and/or agents (collectively “the Center”) to photograph, audio/video record me or any minor children for which I am the parent/legal guardian during participation in this program and to use such photographs, recordings, or videos in any medium (including print or electronic sources) at its sole discretion without further consent or any compensation.
