Recycled Character Creations (Main Library)

Your library is partnering with Keep Abilene Beautiful to host a fun workshop for all ages as we create characters based on those created by Matt Phelan, the author/illustrator we’re celebrating for this summer. From his great stories including “Turtle Walk,” “Pignic,” and “Little Robot Alone,” you’ll be able to create these fun characters using a combination of recyclable and craft materials. Come out to make your own egg carton turtles, cardboard pigs, and robot planters to take home and enjoy.
