Book-to-Movie Saturday (Main Library)

Join your library in the return of the Book to Movie Saturdays session where we show popular movies from the past that were based on books. At this session, we’ll be watching a flick from the 1970s, based on the book by Peter Benchley, and starring Roy Scheider and Richard Dreyfuss in the movie that had everyone thinking twice before going into the ocean. In this film, when a massive killer shark unleashes chaos on a beach community off Long Island, it’s up to the local police chief, a marine biologist, and an old seafarer to hunt the beast down. This film is rated PG and has a run time of 2 hours and 4 minutes.
