WARHAMMER ABERDEEN:
BRUSHMASTERS: WEATHERING & DAMAGE
Saturday 20th September - 10:30-12:00 / 13:00-14:30 / 15:00-16:30
Brush Masters is back folks! Our in-store hobby help sessions are returning to the store on the third Saturday of every month and weβll be available and on hand to teach you some new skills and techniques to help paint your miniatures. Each month we will provide you with a different miniature and focus on something different to help cover a range of different ways to help bring your miniatures to life.
BRUSH MASTERS SEPTEMBER SESSION
WEATHERING & BATTLE DAMAGE
This month's session will be focussing on weathering and putting battle damage on your models. We have chosen some Stormcast Eternals and Space Marines to showcase our techniques for this session and will have hobby pods teaching a variety of weathering techniques, especially using some Citadel Technical Paints, giving you a couple of options for how to paint your models. We will endeavour to give a brief showcase of all these techniques, giving you the core skills needed to take your minis to the next level! The techniques we are planning to showcase are:
Chipping & scratches - Chipping is a fun effect that can be done in a small or big way on a model, drastically affecting the overall look of the piece and how battle worn your troops (or tanks) look!
Rust - especially useful for things like Orks, Chaos, & Ogors, building up textured rust can really change up how metal looks, and provide a nice spot colour on models.
Verdigris - with the magic of the Technical Paint Nihilakh Oxide, itβs never been easier to paint verdigris and oxide those copper tones across models; especially effective for Death & Chaos factions!
Oil & Grime - Oil stains and grime can really push tanks and scenery in particular into looking like they belong on the battlefields of the 41st Millenium, or off on campaign in the Mortal Realms!
What will I need to bring along?
We will provide the miniatures, so you just need to bring your own paints and brushes. We will have some on hand to show you the techniques but we strongly recommend you bring your own tools along for the sessions.
Spaces for these sessions are limited, so if you would like to come along and learn one of these new techniques then get in touch with us and we will book you in for one of our slots throughout the day.
For more information or to book in for any sessions, give us a call, check out the store Facebook page or ask a member of staff for details.
