Sonic Bothy Ensemble

The ensemble of Disabled and non-Disabled musicians create original works that define new ideas with accessibility underpinning, radically and dynamically shaping the music. Their eclectic interests span from free improvisation, contemporary classical, dance, electroacoustic, musicals, and noise.

Adam Green (Percussion), Ali Robertson (Amplified Objects & Voice), Allan Wright (Harmonium, Glass Instruments & Voice), Evie Waddell (Voice, Fiddle, & Dance), Nichola Scrutton (Clavichord & Voice), Sonia Allori (Clarinet, Ewi & Voice)

Ensemble in residence at Newton Dee Community, where the musicians will have led inclusive workshops for residents, Sonic Bothy musicians will, in this concert, explore innovation in accessibility - new ideas inspired by British Sign Language. They will perform the work in progress, as well as showcase existing repertoire and free improvisation, followed by a Q and A.
