For Doors Open Day, and part of The Big Belmont Bash, the Belmont Community Cinema team will open the doors to the currently closed building on Saturday 6 September.
Come along to meet the team, see the refurbishment plans, hear about how the fundraising campaign is progressing, along with the chance to take a tour of the Projection Booth with demonstrations of the 35mm projector equipment.
There will also be three talks hosted in Screen 1 during the day:
10am - The Belmont Cinema’s Architectural Heritage: Windows to the Past, Doors to the Future with CEO Matt Buchanan
1pm - Representing the Past in Film through the Architecture of Scotland
4pm - The Belmont Cinema: Memories, Moments, and Creating a Shared Future
Projection booth tours will take place between 11am-1pm, 2pm-4pm, and 5pm-6pm.
All events are free of charge, but donations welcome. All proceeds from Doors Open Day will go directly towards our fundraising target to reimagine, refurbish, and reopen The Belmont Cinema.
