MCC BC Annual Gathering 2025 (AGM)

You are invited to join us for the MCC BC Annual General Meeting on Saturday, October 18 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at South Abbotsford Church (32424 Huntingdon Rd, Abbotsford BC).

Join us as we share a year in review and hear first-hand stories of MCC working with the church to address conflict and poverty in places like Malawi, as well as here at home in BC.

Our theme for this year’s event is "The Courage to Love." We’re delighted to have two pastors as our main speakers, Denis Federau and Jonathan Janzen. They will bring first hand reports on their trip to Malawi and Zimbabwe where they saw the work of MCC and local churches working together to address basic needs in an over-flowing refugee camp, reforestation and food security in places of severe drought, support for young women who have experienced domestic violence, and faith based restorative justice in the Pr*son system.

We will also hear updates by Sue Kupp and her program team on efforts to address needs right here in BC, including a focus on both homelessness and domestic violence in both Abbotsford and Prince George.

The AGM is also a time of accountability to our members. In addition to hearing reports and stories, we will also review financial statements, elect Board Members and other standard business items.
