TGR & Friends // Løvenvold Theater

Come out for an exciting night of ski action from Norway to Alaska. Films shown will be Teton Gravity Research’s 30th annual film “Pressure Drop”, Jacob Wester’s “Return to Why”, Trygg Lindkjølen's "Halfway to Baghdad", and Martin Vendik & Lars Storli's "Jotun" short. It promises to be a fun night with great skiing, stories, and prize giveaways.

Pressure Drop is the latest chapter in a 30-year journey—born from a dream, funded by commercial fishing in Alaska, and driven by a love for life on the edge. Follow the world’s best skiers and snowboarders through massive cliffs, stacked pillows, and deep powder, from Norway to British Columbia, California, Alaska, and home in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. This film captures that split-second when fear meets flow—and celebrates the lifelong commitment to chasing the fall line.

Return to the Why - Jacob Wester
The north face of Trollvasstind on Norway’s Lyngen peninsula first caught Swedish freeskier Jacob Wester’s eye in 2017, when he made a bold first descent with little knowledge, experience, or documentation. The line lay untouched for nearly eight years until spring 2025, when Jacob returned with Italian riders Jakob and Matthias Weger. Their goal: repeat the descent in Jacob’s trademark steepskiing-freeride style and capture it on film. Beyond the feat itself, the film asks why skiers risk such objectives, exploring themes of growth, adventure, and the reward of leaving tracks on an impossibly steep wall. Return to the Why.
