Therapeutic Recreation Group (TRG)

The mission of the Therapeutic Recreation Group (TRG) is to restore hope, independence, and well-being for veterans, first responders, and their families by harnessing the healing benefits of therapeutic recreation.This objective is accomplished through programs that include therapeutic outdoor activities, peer connections, and ongoing support. The ultimate goal is to help those who have served reclaim joy, purpose, and a sense of belonging in their communities. TRG addresses the challenges veterans and first responders face, stemming from physical injuries and mental health struggles, by creating safe spaces for them to decompress, reconnect with nature, and rediscover activities they enjoy.(Note: The event proceeds from the "Mound Throw Down" directly support this mission, helping TRG fund life-changing programs and ensure no veteran or first responder is left behind.)
