Sarah Philpott is the Open Water & Lifesaving Secretary for Dover Lifeguard Swimming Club, and organizer of the Dover Harbour Festival Swim.Sarah is a qualified Open Water Swim Coach and Open Water Rescuer with the STA, and British Canoe Swimmer Safety Kayaker, which she uses to coach swimmers who are attempting to swim the English Channel.Sarah is an accomplished Open Water and Channel Swimmer and a very proud Dovorian. Sarah is the first English woman to complete the Original Triple Crown which includes England to France (English Channel), England to Wales (Bristol Channel) and Ireland to Scotland (North Channel).In 2025, Sarah was honored to be host a swim event in recognition of the 150th Anniversary of Captain Matthew Webb (1st man to swim the English Channel), and in 2026 the 100th Anniversary of Gertrude Ederle (1st woman to swim the English Channel).
