As an extension of Chiquita Jackson Enterprise (CJE), the P.R.O.M.I.S.E. Youth Fellowship provides professional development opportunities to underrepresented youth ages 12-18 years. P.R.O.M.I.S.E. Youth offers a rich experience for the youth and young adults in various communities to restore and rebuild the next generation of leaders. CJE Founder & C.E.O. Chiquita Jackson believes that creating opportunities is fundamental for our youth's growth. Chiquita's lived experiences as a youth who lived most of her childhood in a low-income community range from child homelessness, foster care, and food insecurity. She witnessed her single mother struggle to raise six children while Chiquita's father was in Prison till she was nine years old. Notwithstanding the adversities, Chiquita continued to create opportunities for herself being the first person in her family to graduate both high school and college, now being a first-generation entrepreneur. We pride ourselves in developing genuine, mutually beneficial relationships for the growth and development of both mentee and mentor. Mentors connect with mentees for one hour, on a bi-weekly basis, over a 6-12 month duration and are guided through a series of professional workshops and activities that focuses on setting and executing goals for future career aspirations. P.R.O.M.I.S.E. partners with community organizations to provide academic and financial resources, professional development training, and access to events to youth and young adult mentees. P.R.O.M.I.S.E. is dedicated to providing communities with reliable and sustainable solutions to succeed in their avenues.
