MJH Con Dios Foundation

The MJH Con Dios Foundation was created in 2004 in memory of Mary Jane Hamilton, a beloved Houston teacher who devoted seventeen years to helping elementary school students before transitioning to full-time charity work. Mary was passionate about supporting Texas youth, and her work with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo’s Steer Auction Committee allowed her to make a direct impact on students’ education and opportunities. The foundation continues Mary’s mission by funding scholarships and supporting “hard-luck” students—those who face unexpected setbacks while trying to pursue their goals.To date, the foundation has awarded over $125,000 to these “hard-luck” recipients and purchased nearly $400,000 worth of steers and poultry at the HLSR Junior Market Auctions.
