I am organizing a Daddy Daughter Gala to celebrate Fathers of Color and daughters of color. I have noticed today in black culture so much energy is spent towards talking about the deadbeat dad instead of celebrating and uplifting the good fathers out there. The relationship between a father and daughter is very important. We are the first male figure they encounter in their life and it is up to us to be an example of the type of man they should chose to marry.
