“Overall nice event, but I think some adjustments should be made to the logistics. Doors should have opened more than 30 mins before the interview. Maybe have vendors come and set up a hour or 2 before the speaking session and people can come in and walk vendor tables until time to be seated. Also, it may have been better to have the signing done immediately after her speaking, calling people row by row to alleviate a large crowd of people trying to line up. Not sure if a change in venue would help the crowd control for signing. I do recognize that it was a free event so I do give grace.”
“We drive three hours to attend. The event was great and it was ran smoothly. The line to enter was very long but it moved very swiftly. The vendors were great, seeing the main author went very smoothly as well. My family and I can not wait until the next one. A bigger venue would be needed! ”

Likewise, the bookclub/leadership team does a very good job in creating a great atmosphere. “I enjoyed the event for the most part. I liked seeing all the African American authors in the same room. I haven’t seen that before . I liked the variety of books and things being sold - cupcakes , cosmetics, purses and more . One thing that I did not liked was how compacts it was . It was a little overwhelming. It seemed liked there weren’t enough space to move around. But overall I enjoyed it and would come again . : ) ”

"Me Time Book Club" was started by Author K. Reshay on November 2011. This book club was created to enhance the minds of women who already loved to read. Each member is encouraged to speak their minds without being judged. We also are involved in community service projects. New members are encouraged to attend. If you are in the Tuscaloosa or Birmingham area in Alabama, we would love to meet you!
