Hi, I’m Lisa Noon — a Christian and pioneer worker based at Ashby Baptist Church.I have a real love for all things creative and enjoy sewing, crocheting, drawing, painting, and dressmaking. I’m also the creative behind Crafter-Noon.Before stepping into pioneering and community work, I spent 27 wonderful years teaching Design and Technology in secondary schools, covering everything from wood, metal, plastics, textiles, and food to GCSE photography.More recently, I completed a Master’s degree in Mission, Pioneering and Theology, where my dissertation explored the connections between creativity, God, and mission - a theme that continues to inspire my work today.I love sharing creative skills as a way to connect people, build community, and reflect God’s love in everyday life. I’ve also seen how creativity can support mental health , offering calm, purpose, and healing both for me and for others who face life’s struggles.When I’m not crafting or dreaming up new projects, I’m usually with my ever-patient husband, Kev, who knows that when I say, “I’ve got an idea!” it usually means another creative adventure is about to begin!I’m also a proud mum of three grown-up children and share my home with two lovable rescue dogs and a cat who keep life interesting!I hope you enjoy spending time being creative — whether we’re together in person or you’re following along with my patterns and videos from home.
