KALOHCC is a member of the Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs, Na Lei Makalapua Continent Council, and the Oregon Pacific Islander Coalition. In 1918 our founder, Prince Jonah Kuhio, opened the Honolulu Hawaiian Civic Club to help elevate the voices of the Native Hawaiian community during the illegal overthrow of Hawaiʻi. Today, our purpose remains the same; elevate AND amplify the voice of our Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities. Here in Oregon and SW Washington, we hope to bring the stories of our Hawaiʻi that will help educate the greater community of who we are as a people.
