Bola Stephen-Atitebi (Adunni Alaalo)*is a Nigerian-born storyteller, theatre-maker, producer and cultural practitioner based in the UK. She is the founder and Creative Director of Tell-A-Tale Productions, a company dedicated to preserving, reimagining and sharing African stories through performance, community engagement and cultural experiences.Performing under the persona Adunni Alaalo ("the storyteller"), Bola draws from the rich traditions of Yoruba oral storytelling, folklore, music, song and audience participation to create immersive experiences that connect people across generations and cultures.Her work has been presented internationally at festivals, schools, theatres and community spaces, including the Lagos Book & Art Festival, Satyriana Festival (Brazil), Itan Ati Alo Storytelling Festival (Nigeria), King's College London, the French School Lagos, and community venues in the United States and the United Kingdom. Her acclaimed production, *Reminiscing with Adunni Alaalo*, has been featured at major cultural events and was nominated for the **Brighton Fringe Spirit of the Fringe Award**, recognising its contribution to cultural exchange, audience engagement and community connection.Through storytelling, music, movement and participatory arts, Bola explores themes of memory, identity, belonging, cultural heritage and intergenerational connection. Her work seeks not only to entertain but also to preserve oral traditions and create meaningful spaces for dialogue, learning and community.Alongside her theatrical productions, Bola develops community-based cultural programmes that use African arts and storytelling to foster wellbeing, creativity and social connection. Through the Adunni Alaalo platform, she is building a vibrant programme of events that celebrate African culture while creating welcoming spaces for people of all backgrounds to connect, learn and share experiences.
