Astra Mental Health & Recovery is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community mental health center and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) in Topeka, KS. We proudly serve more than 11,000 individuals and families each year, regardless of their age, where they live or their ability to pay. We proudly offer a broad range of trainings and classes designed to meet the needs of our community.Astra was formed on January 1, 2026, after a merger between Family Service & Guidance Center and Valeo Behavioral Health Care, two trusted mental health care and substance use treatment providers with more than 180 years of combined experience. The merger will result in a number of benefits for the northeast Kansas community, including increased access to care.
