Follow Animal Ideas with BridgetHi there! My name is Bridget and I am a certified Canine First Aid Instructor! I share my life with my partner, pet dog Stevie, and various fosters from the Lions Foundation of Dog Guides. Having volunteered with Niagara Victim Services, I learned the importance of being prepared and including animals in our efforts to help people. With my own household of pets, I have developed a lifelong passion for learning everything I can to keep them safe and healthy. I am currently finishing up my PhD in sociology with a focus on harms (criminal & other) against people and animals. As a researcher throughout COVID, I realized just how important it is to know Canine First Aid. Huge wait times, closed facilities, long drives, etc. I watched family, friends, and the larger community struggle to get their pets the help they needed. Being an instructor has allowed me to help educate and promote safety of our best friends. After all, as owners, we are responsible to help them live their best life. Can’t wait to see you in class.
