Adult Higher Education Alliance

Each year we hold a conference where we encourage people interested in adult higher education. We serve as a vehicle for cooperative collaboration and consultation among professionals in the field. We help bring together the interests and concerns of various adult higher education areas, including traditional and nontraditional programs, while promoting academic integrity. We encourage practitioner research, thereby contributing to integrating theory and practice and improving our teaching, learning, and scholarship. We promote cultural diversity and multicultural perspectives by encouraging the incorporation of such perspectives into the policies, procedures, and practices of programs serving adults in higher education and influencing institutional and public policies concerning quality practice in all areas of adult learning in higher education.
