HONK! PDX (Day 1) ft. CRUSHIN' IT! — 2025

HONK! PDX is a free brass band festival celebrating community collaboration and creative expression and is dedicated to creating a community of inclusion. We are working to break down systemic barriers for the underrepresented within our community and increase community access by producing the festival in neighborhoods of the Portland area underserved by the arts. Our interactive celebrations are designed to be accessible with representation from a wide range of ages and abilities; offering pick-up bands throughout the festival open for anyone who would like to pick up an instrument and play.

We're back for the 3rd Annual HONK! PDX music festival — louder weirder and more joyful than ever. This year we’re turning up the volume on collaboration community and creativity partnering with two amazing local organizations to make it all happen.

Day One kicks off with CRUSHIN' IT an all-ages party located in the heart of historic Alberta. Expect two stages high-energy performances from 10 incredible bands and uniquely unforgettable activities like watermelon crushing and watermelon wrestling (yes really).

Come for the music stay for the mayhem and connect with community in true HONK! style. See you there for a full day of sights sounds and sonic silliness — it’s just the beginning of the weekend!
