Page to Stage: Book Launch & Dramatised Reading
The D’Costa Family by Rochelle Potkar
Usawa Literary Review celebrates its seventh anniversary with the launch of The D’Costa Family, a sharp, satirical new work by acclaimed author Rochelle Potkar.
Set in the vibrant Goan-Indian milieu, the book introduces us to the riotous D’Costas - a family as outrageous as they are unforgettable.
At the center is matriarch Rita D’Costa, navigating betrayal, secrets, and reconciliation with wicked humour and unflinching honesty.
With Potkar’s signature blend of lyricism and wit, the narrative explores themes of family dysfunction, cultural legacy, and feminine agency.
This evening will feature dramatic readings, author conversation, and the unveiling of a limited-edition print zine.
Together, we mark a milestone in feminist literary publishing , celebrating voices that refuse to be silenced, in print and on stage.
