Roundup Montana - Wildlife Friendly Fencing (Volunteer Event)

Join Montana BHA and the Bureau of Land Management for a full day of fence modification near Roundup. The modification will consist of replacing barbed wire strands with smooth wire which prevents wildlife from becoming snagged in the fence as they travel and utilize the landscape. Our goal for this project is approx. 1.2 miles of fencing modified to wildlife friendly specs.
We are looking for volunteers to join us for a full work day on Saturday from 8am - 4pm. BHA will provide supplementary water, snacks, pop-up tent to catch some shade under and all necessary tools for fencing work but volunteers should plan to show up with plenty of water (it'll likely be hot!). This event is not dog friendly, but older kids are welcome as long as they are capable of handling tools and cutting strands of barbed wire that are potentially dangerous.
