Jules Scharpé ( https://www.instagram.com/julesscharpe.art/) (29) is an artist and Antwerp native. Since childhood, he has been fascinated by faces. Not so much for who someone is, but for what a face radiates: a look, a tension, an emotion that often says more than words. This fascination is the thread running through his work.
Jules uses acrylic and an intuitive approach. What starts with a single line or a glance grows into a lively interplay of faces, expressions and organic forms. Everything is in motion: lines meander, faces merge, colours clash and harmonise. His style is expressive, colourful and layered, a breathing whole that invites endless viewing and discovery.
Each face stands alone, but at the same time is part of a larger story. Just like people: unique, but inseparable.
