Musical Migration at Leif Erikson Lodge

Soprano Laura Loge and pianist Steven Luksan will bring their Norwegian-American music to Leif Erikson Lodge.
Musical Migration is an exploration of music composed by Norwegians who immigrated to the United States over the last two centuries. This nearly-forgotten repertoire will be heard again -- from nostalgic folk songs to classical art songs, and popular tunes to solo piano repertoire -- performed and guided by soprano Laura Loge and pianist Steven Luksan. This music is a reflection of the composers who left everything behind for an opportunity in a new land, and who brought their music with them, shaped by their struggles, new adventures, and longing for their homeland and distant families.
