Exploring Evidence, Evaluation, & Equity In Healthcare: A Talk Series

The Institute of Health Economics is hosting a distinguished session featuring Dr. Sayem Ahmed, a leading health economist with extensive experience in global health research and policy.

Dr Sayem Ahmed joined Brunel University London in August 2024 as a tenured Lecturer in Health Economics. He leads health economics teaching in the Division of Global Public Health and is the Programme Director of MSc Health Economics and Health Policy (online). His research specializes in health economics, particularly health technology assessment (HTA), economic evaluations, and healthcare financing, focusing on evidence-based resource allocation.

This session will comprise of:

-Dr. Ahmed’s academic and professional journey in health economics

-Insights from recent projects on cost-effectiveness analysis and health system strengthening

-Application of economic evaluations in global health decision-making
