Anvil Press and Cross & Crows Books present a FREE Summer Reading with street photographer and poet Rodney DeCroo and novelist Jill Yonit Goldberg presenting their most recent work.
Rodney DeCroo reads poems and presents a slideshow of his street photography/poetry project, Night Moves, a gritty, touching, poignant, and truthful portrayal of contemporary urban life. With his poet’s eye for detail, he faithfully captures the living character of East Vancouver, especially the life and pulse of the Commercial Drive area that he has called home for the past thirty years.
Jill Goldberg will read from her novel After We Drowned: An oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico explodes, derailing everything in fifteen-year-old Jesse’s life deep in rural Louisiana.
Join us to experience these two recent releases from a wonderful Vancouver publisher! Light refreshments will be served. Masks required in our livingroom space.
