Our Third Saturday Jazz Series returns, August 16th, from 8 to 10:30 PM in the Biergarten, featuring the Ross Michael Strauser Quartet.
Ross Strauser is a saxophonist, composer, and educator currently teaching at both the University of South Florida and Hillsborough Community College. Originally from Montana, Ross earned degrees in instrumental performance and jazz studies from the University of Montana before moving to Tampa to complete his master’s in jazz performance at USF.
He’s performed with artists like Erica von Kleist, Loren Stillman, Remy Le Boeuf, Chuck Owen, James Suggs, La Rue Nickelson, and Jack Wilkins, and has been part of ensembles across Montana and Florida including The Latin Jazz Knights, The Rod Alnord Quartet, and his own Ross Strauser Jazz Collective. Come grab a drink and settle in for a night of expressive, modern jazz from one of Tampa’s most exciting young voices!
