These gentle, welcoming walks are a great chance to move, get some fresh air, and meet new people.
π Every Thursday
π Meeting at 11am. The walk will take about 1 hour.
π Starting from 41 King Street (Hope Haven's future base, currently being refurbished!)
πΊοΈ We'll usually be walking to Whitehaven Library - but check out the walk listings on the Ramblers website for the latest info! https://www.ramblers.org.uk/go-walking/wellbeing-walks/hope-haven-wellbeing-walk-5
These are gentle walks, on easy pavements and paths. There will be plenty of chances to rest if you need to.
We recommend wearing comfy shoes, and bringing a snack and a drink.
Getting here: There are regular Stagecoach buses into Whitehaven and train services. There is disc parking in town (usually 1hour) and major supermarkets have parking for up to 2 hours (please check the parking arrangements before leaving your car).
The walks will be led by run by Yvonne Myers, a Chaplain at Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust, as well as some other local staff and volunteers.
